"How to study the Bible" - is the first chapter in
this bible study book by Max Lucado. It does little good to have medication in a bottle in your
hand, and read the instructions, but not open the bottle and take the medications. In the same
way, if you have in your possession many Bibles, or only one, they/it will do you no good unless
you read and take the teachings therein. Apply them to your life. The book of John is the most
easily read and understood, and as such is the one usually suggested to new believers, to get a
taste of God's word. As you read it and go throuigh the questions in each chapter, take time to
think over what you are reading, and descerning what it means to you.
Ask God to help you understand what you are about to read, seek His will for you in what
you read, knock on the door of knowledge, and God will open the floodgates of blessing on you
as you study His word. Ask. Seek. Knock. Find - Simple, isn't it?
