We are an integral part of The Navigators of Canada an evangelical non-profit organization with a long history of working with individuals and churches to fulfill Christ's great commission to "go and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19) by multiplying labourers for Christ across Canada and overseas. The mission of The Navigators:
Advancing the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the Nations through spiritual generations of labourers, living and discipling among all people.
We work on campuses, in churches and our communities and around the world. We work one-on-one. We work in small groups. We seek to motivate and equip ordinary men and women to fix their eyes on Christ and to become fully devoted followers of Him. We encourage Christians to live by faith, feed on the Scriptures and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are well known for our Bible study helps, The 2:7 Series of study guides, small-group discussion materials, Topical Memory System for Scripture memorization, and NavPress, our publishing ministry. What is the purpose of the Resource Ministry
The Resource Ministry is called to serve churches and individuals with materials and effective ways to make disciples. Our expertise is discipleship and small groups.
Resource Ministry Mission:
To facilitate the spiritual development of God's people in Canada by equipping them through materials, ideas and training.
We see success as giving confidence to the leader that the resource chosen was appropriate so that they can be freed up to do the transformational aspects of relational ministry. Small group leaders can then move their group members one step forward in their spiritual journey. While we may be known as a great source for excellent books and studies, our goals go beyond that! We want to expose and train leaders to effective biblical approaches that transform lives. Our intention is to provide you with the best available resources and training for your ministry and your personal spiritual growth.
How do we come alongside churches and leaders in addition to providing good resources?
The Resource Ministry fits under the umbrella of Church Discipleship Ministries. There are two main ways we support churches – conferences that equip and train lay leaders, plus smaller forums for pastors and ministry leaders that provide an environment of shared learning.
The Small Groups Network provides a small forum for leaders to share what they are learning. For over 10 years, this facilitated network of pastors and small group ministry coordinators come together regularly through the year for encouragement and mutual support. They learn from each other as they share ideas and ministry applications in this specific area of church ministry.
Many of these same churches also attend our larger equipping conferences that we sponsor and organize. In the past we have brought in such speakers as Randy Pope (The Intentional Church), Greg Ogden (Discipleship Essentials), Alan Roxburough (The Missional Leader), Scott Boren (The Relational Way)and Alan Nelson (Spiritual Intelligence) among others.
We also provide small group leader training by partnering with local churches to create workshops that will develop and equip leaders.
