Leadership: Three Questions
Three Questions Leaders Need to Regularly Ask

As a leader, you need to give yourself a quick check-up. After a small group meeting, but before you go to bed, take a few minutes to ask yourself these three simple questions:
  1. What went well in your group meeting tonight?
  2. What didn't go well? Why?
  3. What can I learn, say, or do differently to help me be a better small group leader?
If you want to take it a step further...ask one of your group members the same three questions once a month. Another option is to adapt the first two questions and use it as a mid-year evaluation or assessment of your small group. Broaden the time frame to the start of your group in the fall. This can be a leadership-altering experience if you can move beyond the fear of criticism. Members of your small group will encourage you with positive feedback, but you also need to hear from them where your group and your leadership can be improved.
