Creating an Outreach Calendar

Creating an outreach calendar

Your group may want to be even more intentional and come up with a monthly service and outreach calendar. You may want to dedicate one of your meetings to creating a one-year calendar of ideas like the one below.

January - Find a family in need and bring them dinner.
February - Bake or buy Valentine's cookies and take them to a convalescent home.
March - Have a baby shower at a local crisis pregnancy center.
April - Give the gift of spring cleaning or house repairs to someone in need.
May - Plant a garden and give the fruits of your labor to families or local nonprofit organizations.
June - Hold a backyard barbeque and invite the neighborhood.
July - Volunteer for VBS at church and be responsible for snacks, games, or story times.
August - Adopt a missionary. Pray for them at each meeting, mail them a box of treats, write to them, and let them know your group is praying for them.
September - Drop off a box of doughnuts to the teachers lounge at a local school. Leave them a note letting them know that your group is praying for them.
October - Volunteer to serve dinner at a local rescue mission the week after Thanksgiving.
November - Create a gift bag of treats, include a note with a verse, and deliver them to neighborhood homes.
December - Put on your Santa hat and deliver nonperishable food to needy families.
